Energy Management Controls

What is an Energy Assessment?

Energy assessments are inspections, surveys, and analyses of buildings electrical systems. They evaluate resource efficiency and identify energy conservation opportunities. They often reduce energy consumption and cost of operation. Energy assessments normally include evaluating systems such as:

  • Lighting
  • Building envelope
  • HVAC
  • Process systems
  • Operation, control, and maintenance of all the above.

Energy Assessment Tools

We use a site evaluation to review lamp and fixture technology, controls, dimming, and automation. We also review the opportunity to apply daylight harvesting to control energy consumption. We review large motor loads and apply resource technology to control usage and extend equipment life for the owner. We use Infrared Testing of equipment and building areas. We also apply power monitoring equipment to control usage spikes and correct power factors to reduce costs.
