It actually started in Fall 2020 with my Garage losing power. I bid out the work and hired Phoenix Contracting Services. The following Monday, Jeff and his crew (Mike and Gabriel) came out and finally resolved the issue See more

AlumiConn connectors join aluminum wire to a copper pigtail inside an insulated housing. It is a CPSC-accepted repair for aluminum branch wiring.
AlumiConn is a set-screw connector made by King Innovation. Each wire goes into its own port, and a screw clamps it in place inside an insulated housing. It joins aluminum branch wire to a copper pigtail and is a connector the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission accepts for repairing aluminum wiring (CPSC Publication 516).
The tightening step matters. A loose set screw is the same failure that caused the original problem, so we follow the manufacturer's instructions and do not tighten by feel.
AlumiConn needs no special crimp tool, goes in quickly and works with most standard devices. The connector is bulkier than a wire nut, so some shallow or crowded boxes need to be replaced or extended before it fits. We use it with copper pigtailing at most connection points in older homes. We help you choose based on the boxes in your home and your budget.
At every outlet, switch and light fixture on an aluminum circuit, and at junction boxes and splices in the run. Our pigtailing page describes the full job. We install AlumiConn in homes, apartments and commercial buildings.
Usually not. Most connection points are in accessible device boxes. Junction boxes hidden in a wall or an attic may need an access panel. We find those during the walk-through.

OUR PROCESS
Every job follows three steps: a site walkthrough, testing and documentation, then findings and next steps.
We start with a free phone consultation, and you can send a photo of your panel or equipment. If on-site work is needed, we visit, look at the panels and service, and agree on what needs to be tested or repaired before any work starts. On-site work is quoted before it begins.
Load loggers and a thermal camera record what the equipment is doing, and the results are documented for each panel or component we check.
We go over what we found and your options in plain language. If corrective work is needed, we are licensed to do it.
Share the details of your project, and our team will help you identify the most practical next step.
